Culture Project
A friend of mine gave me a dubious look the other day when I said that turkey tastes really good. He told me that he didnt think a bird that big could really be edible. One of my favorite parts of the school here in Krasnodar is taking part in my social project, a cultural exchange at the local high school and as youve probably guessed, we talked about holidays this Friday. Every other week I go and help talk to the kids in English to give them opportunities to talk to a native speaker and for me its a great opportunity learn about Russian culture. Pray that I would continue building good relationships with the students and be a good student of the culture. Also, pray that I would bloom where Im planted, and find ways to serve and minister here, even though that is not my first priority during this time of language learning.
