Side Trip

Whew! Let me catch my breath. Things are really picking up as Im getting ready to finish up Language school and head home. Not only am I trying to wrap up all of my lessons and get everything ready to go, Ive been given the chance to travel to Austria to help one of our missionaries there. Russ Clowdus has invited Dan and me to help him with a ministry for refugees there in Vienna from July 4th-8th. Apparently there are quite a few refugees in Austria from the former Soviet Union and our newly acquired language skills will be an asset to their ministry. I never would have thought that studying Russian would have led to such an opportunity. Im constantly amazed at the way God chooses to glorify Himself through the blessings He gives me. Be praying that all of the details will work out for us to minister there and pray that the Lord would work in the hearts and lives of the refugees in Austria. Especially pray that we will be able to buy our tickets home to the States, for some reason weve been having trouble buying them.

Prayer Requests

10.06.2009 Georgians: Pray for a Georgian family that is in fear of being deported. Pray that God would give them peace dispite there circumstances and pray that they would grow closer to God through this.

10.06.2009 Boldly share: That we would walk closely with Him each day and openly sharing Him with others in this culture

10.06.2009 Mentors: That God would send each of us a mentor to meet with regularly.

10.06.2009 Language Aquisition: That Liz would become conversational in German quickly and that we both might strive for excellence as in this area of our ministry.

09.07.2009 Visas Process: Pray that we would be able to get all of the paperwork for our visas and that we would be wise in getting things set up to stay here.

09.07.2009 Best over the good: Pray that the Lord would guide our team as it continues to form. Especially pray for wisdom as we chose the best over the good.

09.07.2009 Afghan Friend: Pray for a Christian Afghan refugee who is in eminent danger of being deported back to Afghanistan
