Winter Logistics

I'm enjoying a rare sunny winter's day here in Moscow. I've been back from my trip to the States for nearly a week now and I think I'm over my jet lag, finally. I thoroughly enjoyed my time home and was very glad to see and talk to many of you. Unfortunately, eight weeks go by too quickly so I didn't get to visit with everyone so if I missed you on this trip I apologize and look forward to catching you next time.

Though the winter has been warm this year in Moscow, it seems to have hit its full force this week. We've seen about 4 straight days of snowfall lately! I don't think I've ever seen so much snow on the trees. Not only does this make the walk from my apartment to the subway a bit more slippery, but it slows down traffic as well. Now I usually don't think about traffic here in Russia. I don't own a car and considering the way people drive in Moscow, I'm not sure I want to get one anytime soon! I'm thinking about traffic a bit more these days because as of Monday I've taken on a new responsibility on the team. I'm now in charge of materials for our mission in Russia. Since a major part of what we do is resource pastors who use our materials to train other pastors in their region, it's a pretty major responsibility. Just this week I had to fill two separate orders while trying to get a grasp on our current system of storage, shipment, and distribution. Please be praying for me as I learn the ropes for this new job. Also be praying as we look at starting a training center here in Moscow. Especially be praying that I would do none of this on my own strength but by God's leading and his might.
